Selena Gomez, an actress and singer who is well-known across the world. One of the projects she's been a part of with the highest popularity has been the Disney series called Wizards of Waverly Place. Her real name is Selena Marie Gomez. The birthplace of Selena was Grand Prairie, Texas on 22 July 1992. Amanda Cornett, and Ricardo Gomez are her parents. Her mother, Amanda Cornett, was sixteen years old at the time Selena was conceived. The year 2009 was when Selena was only nine when she landed her first showbiz role as Gianna for Barney and her Friends. The result was that she became one those children that played the most well-known and famous anthropomorphic red dinosaur in history. Selena performed on many episodes of seasons 7 and 8 from 2001 between 2001 and 2003. Selena was not the only performer who appeared on Barney and His Friends during that time. Demi Loveto also worked for the show. Selena Gomez left the show and auditioned for roles in a number of films and television shows, but did not have much successes. Her role was only a tiny one in the 2003 movie Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over) as well as another role similar to Julie as Julie in Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire. In 2006, she played Emily Grace Garcia on the Brain Zapped television program. For this role, she created a tune.
